The pearlescent Conrad Bosphorus perches above the trendy Beskitas neighborhood, offering sweeping panoramic views of the Bophorus waters and Istanbul’s gorgeous Gold Horn. From their suites and balconies, the keen eye can spot the spires and minarets of the Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace.

The open kitchen of the Manzara Restaurant offers delicious Mediterranean cuisine atop these spectacular views. Turkish Meze platters and dishes fill out the menu as well, drawing inspiration from local flavors and produce. Here, we bring you a tasty seafood and hummus plate, complete with sea bass and shrimp, a perfect marriage of Mediterranean and local Turkish cuisines.

Recipe:

Ingredients:

Hummus

Jumbo Shrimp, whole body

Sea Bass Filet

Asparagus

Olive Oil

Salt

Pepper

Vegetable Stock

Fresh Seasonal Vegatables

Turnips

Begin by cleaning and peeling the Asparagus. Slice the Sea Bass Filet into 2 - 4 managable pieces, and marinate with the Shrimp in Olive Oil, Salt, and Pepper. Pan fry in Olive Oil. Add Vegetable Stock to the Hummus and cook over low heat. Prepare the Seasonal Vegetables and slice the Turnips to serve as a garnish. Once the Hummus is lukewarm it is ready to serve. Once the Shrimp turn red and the Sea Bass starts to become golden-brown they are ready to serve.
