Jumeirah Pera Palas Part 1 from QualitaTurkey on Vimeo.
The Pera Palas Hotel holds a special place as one of Istanbul's oldest and finest luxury establishments. Constructed in the late 1800s, the hotel served as Istanbul's first luxury hotel, and hosted European guests travelling on the Orient Express through Constantinople. The hotel boasts an impressive roster of legendary guests, including: Ataturk, Agatha Christine (both of whom have their own namesake suites), Ernest Hemingway, and Jacqueline Kennedy.
Today we take you to their Agatha Restaurant, named after the famed murder-mystery author. The restaurant draws inspiration from the three major destination of the Orient Express: Venice, Paris, and Istanbul. From the executive chef at the Agatha Restaurant, we bring you the Salmon Duo, a seafood starter plate featuring fresh slices of marinated salmon and shrimp.
